We had a little chat with one of our dearest business storage members – Dream Dresses Reading – about how our self storage services impacted their business when they needed our services the most.
How has self storage benefitted your business?
Self storage has benefited my business by providing the extra space needed as my business has grown, with the rising costs of renting business properties it was something out of my reach.
How are you using your self storage unit?
I’m using my double unit as my bridal boutique showroom.
What is, in your opinion, your company’s greatest achievement to date?
That I am still in business after covid!

Use decor relevant to your business to keep your unit creative.
What is the biggest challenge your business has had to overcome and how did you overcome it?
I opened my business 5 weeks before the first national lock down due To Covid, retail was not allowed to stay. All gatherings were cancelled including wedding and prom and this had a huge financial affect on my business. I Set up a garden decor party company to help promote business and fill in the gap of not being able to open my shop.
If there was one thing you wish you had known before starting your business, what would it be?
I wish I had known what the cost of the living crisis was going to mean!
Where do you see your business in five years?
In a shop premises where I can have both my Prom and Bridal businesses running together in the same space.
What motivates you?
My family is what motivates me. Providing the things they need and having time together enjoying them is what drives me to do and to be better every single day.
